Medford Police Arrest One After NE Medford House Standoff

At approximately 3:20 PM today, a 911 hangup call was reported from the 2600 block of Hawaiian Ave in NE Medford, sparking a significant police response. Multiple units from the Medford Police Department (MPD) have been deployed to the scene in an effort to negotiate with at least one individual believed to be inside the location.

The situation is reported to involve two adults and one child who are currently inside the premises. In addition to the ground units, the MPD Drone Team has also been dispatched to provide assistance and gather critical information from the air.

Due to this developing incident, Hawaiian Ave has been closed to through traffic between Cedar Links Dr and Upper Dr. Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area and cooperate with any directions provided by law enforcement officials on-site.

UPDATE: One subject has been taken into custody safely. We are working to gather additional information at this time. There were no reported injuries.
