The 2023 Jackson County Fair Launches Wednesday July 12th

The Jackson County Fair, set to take place at the Expo from July 12th to 16th, 2023, promises a week of excitement and entertainment for attendees of all ages. Here’s a glimpse into what you can expect at this year’s fair.

The fair hours have been scheduled as follows: Wednesday and Thursday, 2 pm to 11 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11 am to midnight; and Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under, courtesy of the West Family Foundation. Additionally, on Sunday, July 16th, admission is free for everyone, thanks to Ray’s Food Place.

Parking is convenient and cost-effective, with free parking available in Gate B (South Lot), courtesy of the People’s Bank. For those seeking a VIP experience, paid VIP parking is located in Gate J (North Lot) at $10 per day or $30 for the entire season.

To make your visit even more enjoyable, advance fair and concert tickets, as well as carnival wristbands, can be obtained in advance. Sherm’s snd Food 4 Less are the local hubs to go for these tickets. A concert ticket grants access to the fair, and a fair ticket allows entry to the lawn area of the concerts, subject to space availability.

Fair tickets purchased in advance are priced at $12 for adults aged 13-61, $6 for adults aged 62-74, and free of charge for adults aged 75 and older. At the gate, fair tickets will be available for $15. If you’re a fan of carnival rides, you have the option of purchasing unlimited ride wristbands. A daily wristband can be bought in advance for $35, while a weekly wristband is available for $85 until July 11th at 7 pm.

The Jackson County Fair is renowned for its wide range of attractions suitable for the entire family. With 30 classic and thrilling carnival rides, such as the Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Freak Out, and Zipper, there’s something for everyone. Visitors can also explore the 4H and FFA swine, poultry, horse, and dairy goat exhibits, where valuable life lessons and skills are taught through these programs. Don’t miss the swine, beef, and poultry auctions, the flower arranging contest, or the cupcake wars. Additionally, be sure to check out the array of creative arts, including flowers, photography, home and hobby crafts, jewelry, minerals, and gems, where participants compete for the coveted blue ribbon.

The entertainment line-up at the Bi-Mart Amphitheater is equally impressive. Kicking off the five-day event on Wednesday, July 12th, is Flo Rida, known for his feel-good blend of hip house, pop rap, and southern hip hop. On Thursday, July 13th, country music fans can enjoy the popular sounds of Granger Smith. Traditional country music artist Clint Black takes the stage on Friday evening, offering a nostalgic experience. Saturday’s highlight is “I Am King,” a Michael Jackson Tribute, promising a mesmerizing performance akin to witnessing the King of Pop live in concert.

Each day of the fair is filled with music and entertainment, featuring performances by various artists such as the Rogue Rage Duo, Adam the Great, Highway Bound, Circus Luminescence, Robbie DaCosta, the Shabby Guys, Nate Botsford, the Old Time Fiddlers, Saucy, Daniel Nickels Band, The Brothers Reed, Fat Patty, the Rogue Suspects Soul Review, 221 Fly, TNT Cheer, Brads World Reptiles, and the fan-favorite All Alaskan Racing Pigs.

Expo Director Helen Baker expresses her hopes for the fair, stating, “We hope great family & friend memories are made for everyone that comes to this year’s Jackson County Fair.” Make sure to mark your calendars and join in on the fun at the Jackson County Fair for an unforgettable experience.
