MEDFORD, Ore. (Mar. 4, 2026) — A proposal to expand and construct a new office building associated with the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in south Medford is scheduled for review later this month by the City of Medford Site Plan & Architectural Commission.
The project calls for development of a new administrative office building on property near the Habitat for Humanity ReStore along South Pacific Highway. The proposal will be considered during a commission meeting on March 20.
The proposed expansion consists of a 19,105 square foot addition to the existing Habitat for Humanity Restore building, along with a 3,049 square foot administration building to be sited at the northeast corner of the site.
According to city planning documents, the project is part of a broader redevelopment plan for property occupied by the Habitat for Humanity Rogue Valley ReStore retail and donation center. The site currently includes multiple structures used for retail operations, administrative offices and construction training activities.
Plans call for relocating administrative functions into a new standalone office building while maintaining the existing ReStore retail operations. The new office structure would replace offices currently located in an adjacent building on South Pacific Highway.
Planning materials indicate the office building would be constructed on a parcel created through a previously approved three-lot partition of the property. The partition separated the existing ReStore retail site, the administrative office parcel and a third parcel fronting Loyalty Way to allow future redevelopment.
Under the proposal, a small parking area would serve the new office building, with vehicle access provided through a shared driveway and easement connecting the parcels. The project also ties into improvements along Loyalty Way, a newer commercial street serving the property.
The Site Plan & Architectural Commission serves as the city’s approving authority for site plan and architectural review, evaluating aspects such as building design, landscaping and site layout for development projects.
If approved, the project would consolidate Habitat for Humanity Rogue Valley’s administrative operations closer to its retail and donation center while supporting the organization’s housing construction programs in the region.
City planning staff and commissioners are expected to review the proposal’s site design, circulation and architectural elements during the upcoming meeting.
