MEDFORD, Ore. (Sep. 4, 2026) — Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity is seeking community volunteers to help move and organize its Habitat ReStore as the nonprofit completes its transition to a new location in south Medford.
Throughout September, volunteers are needed during weekday hours to help load, unload, organize and set up ReStore inventory and racking at the organization’s new facility at 2655 S. Pacific Highway. The additional support will help Habitat prepare the new facility while allowing the organization to continue its mission of building safe, affordable homes for local families across Jackson County.
Construction volunteers are also needed at Habitat build sites in Ashland and Medford during weekday hours. No previous construction experience is required. Volunteers work alongside Habitat’s trained construction staff and can assist with a variety of tasks based on the day’s needs, including site preparation, framing support, painting, cleanup and other hands-on projects.
“Right now, we need people who are ready to jump in and help us do two important things at once: move a major part of our operation and continue building homes for local families,” said Tyler Hunter, marketing and communications manager for Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity. “We really need volunteers who are willing to work weekday hours.”
“Every volunteer shift makes a real difference,” Hunter said. “Whether you are organizing ReStore inventory or helping on a build site, you are helping us create more opportunities for affordable homeownership in our community.”
Individuals, businesses, service clubs, faith groups and other community organizations are encouraged to participate. Habitat welcomes volunteers of all experience levels and provides the guidance and support needed to get involved.
New volunteers begin with a brief orientation held every Thursday at 4 p.m. at Habitat’s administrative office at 2655 S. Pacific Highway in south Medford.
