Crater High Cross Country Team: Back to Back National Champions

The Crater Cross Country team has emerged victorious once again, claiming their second consecutive national championship title.

At the Nike Outdoor Nationals meet held last night in Eugene, they showcased their remarkable talent by clinching the top spot in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) event, completing it in an impressive time of 10:09. The exceptional teamwork of Tyrone Gorze, Aidan Chenoweth, Caleb Doddington, and Josiah Tostenson propelled them to this remarkable achievement.

This championship run follows their previous success at the New Balance Indoor Nationals earlier this year in Boston, MA. In that event, the same formidable quartet of Tyrone Gorze, Jeffrey Hellmann, Caleb Doddington, and Josiah Tostenson conquered the DMR race, not only securing the victory but also setting a new state indoor record with a phenomenal time of 10:00.

With these back-to-back wins, the Crater Cross Country team proudly holds the titles of both New Balance and Nike National Champions.
