JCSO Asking for Help Identifying “Suspicious” Man Near School

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspicious individual who was observed walking around Sams Valley Elementary School on June 8.

The man, who arrived in a silver/gray four-door sedan resembling a Nissan Sentra with unknown registration, parked his vehicle and proceeded to walk slowly along the school’s perimeter fence.

When approached by staff members offering assistance, he inquired about the reason for the locked gates surrounding the school.

Described as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s, approximately 5’4″ to 5’8″ tall and weighing between 180 and 220 pounds, the man has brown hair. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved gray collared shirt and blue jeans.
