TALENT, Ore. (Mar. 12, 2026) — Investigators with the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team served a search warrant Thursday morning at a residence in Talent as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
The search warrant was executed March 12 at a home on Taylor Street after investigators determined that suspected child sexual abuse material had been uploaded from the address, according to officials.

The investigation began after the task force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities said the tip led investigators to issue subpoenas and ultimately obtain a search warrant for the residence.
During the search, investigators seized several digital devices that will undergo forensic analysis for potential evidence of child exploitation. The devices will be examined by the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force.
Officials said investigators also interviewed possible witnesses and individuals connected to the residence. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests or charges were immediately announced.
The search was carried out by the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team with assistance from multiple agencies, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, Medford Police Department, the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Talent Police Department and the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force.
Authorities said SOCET is a multi-agency task force formed in June 2020 to investigate and combat child exploitation cases in Southern Oregon. The team includes investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations and the Oregon Department of Justice’s ICAC Task Force, along with prosecutors from local, state and federal jurisdictions in Jackson and Josephine counties.
Investigators said they will continue reviewing the seized devices and conducting interviews as the case progresses. No additional details were immediately released.
