MEDFORD, Ore. (Aug. 26, 2026) — Fire crews are battling a structure fire Wednesday afternoon in the 4000 block of West Main Street west of Medford near Arnold Lane, prompting road closures and traffic restrictions in the area.
Jackson County Fire District 3, Medford Fire, Jacksonville Fire and Oregon Department of Forestry crews are on scene. Law enforcement officers are assisting with traffic control.
As of 5:19 p.m., West Main Street has been shut down from Highway 238 to the west of the incident and at Pioneer Avenue to the east.
Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency crews work at the scene.
The cause of the fire and whether anyone was injured were not immediately available.

Jackson County Fire District 3 released the following update:
The fire has been knocked down. Crews will remain on scene extinguishing hot spots and are expected to be working in the area for a while this evening.
Roads in the area have reopened. The cause of the fire will be under investigation. This will be the final update unless conditions were to change.
