MEDFORD, Ore. (Feb 13, 2026) — The progressive democratic advocacy network ORD2 Indivisible has scheduled its third “No Kings” rally for Saturday, March 28, in the Rogue Valley, with organizers estimating that more than 10,000 people could attend.
Event organizers say final details, including the precise location and route, are still being determined as they coordinate logistics for what could be one of the region’s larger political demonstrations in recent years. The two previous protests were located along E. McAndrews Rd, between Crater Lake Ave and Biddle Rd, in East Medford.
In materials circulated recently, organizers called for volunteers to help direct traffic, provide first aid, document the event through video and photography, assist with logistics and serve on de-escalation teams trained to respond to tense situations in large crowds.
A de-escalation training session is scheduled for Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a separate nonviolent resistance workshop is planned for Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the location to be announced. Organizers are also encouraging participants to review protest-related legal guidance published by Indivisible and the American Civil Liberties Union.
Supporters are being urged to invite friends and family to upcoming meetings, including a Feb. 15 gathering at the Medford Library that will feature speakers discussing the war in Ukraine and local efforts to assist refugees in Ashland.
Organizers say they expect a peaceful event focused on civic engagement and protecting democratic institutions.
Some local residents, however, have previously expressed concerns about the scale of the rally and its potential impact on traffic, public safety and area businesses. Critics say large demonstrations can strain city resources and create disruptions for people not involved in the event.
Others argue that public protest is a most effective form of political expression and an important part of democratic life. Law enforcement officials have not publicly detailed specific plans for the event or if the plan to coordinate with organizers to manage traffic control and crowd safety for the gathering.
Organizers are also seeking financial support to help cover rally-related expenses, including permits, equipment, printed materials and training sessions. Donations are being collected through Act Blue, an online fundraising platform widely used by Democratic candidates and progressive groups nationwide. ActBlue describes itself as a technology service that processes contributions for left-leaning campaigns and organizations.
Critics, including some conservative activists and elected officials, have argued that the platform plays a significant role in channeling money into partisan political efforts, while supporters say it provides a transparent and secure way for individuals to contribute to causes they support.
ORD2 Indivisible said additional details about the March 28 rally will be released in the coming weeks as planning continues.
Are time of this article’s publication, there have been no official announcements on any organized counter-protests.
