Oregon Lottery Reports $1.3 Million in Super Bowl Revenue

SALEM, Ore. (Feb. 13, 2026) — This year’s Super Bowl generated more than $1.3 million in revenue for Oregon, marking the single largest sports betting event of the year for the state.

Oregonians placed $8.4 million in wagers on the game, up from $8.2 million last year, through the Oregon Lottery’s Oregon Lottery DraftKings Sportsbook platform. More than 450,000 bets were placed, with an average wager of $18.30.

“The Super Bowl is a significant revenue-driving event for Oregon,” said Kerry Hemphill, Oregon Lottery sports betting products manager. “This year, revenue trended down from last year because of the strong in-state support for the Seahawks, who were favored and won.”

The Seattle Seahawks’ victory played a role in overall revenue trends, as many Oregon bettors backed the favored team.

In addition to traditional game wagers, players had more than 1,000 “prop bets” to choose from, ranging from which team would score first to which player would be named MVP. Among those specialty wagers:

On the coin toss, 9,159 bets were placed and 3,932 won the wager for the Patriots to win the toss. Of 9,679 bets, 1,488 correctly picked the Gatorade color as yellow.

The largest individual win of the day went to a Portland customer who placed a $1,000 bet in August 2025 on the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl. The wager paid out $60,000.

The state also reported a 9% increase in the number of unique, active players who placed wagers on the platform compared with 2025. Last year, Oregon players placed 456,000 bets on the Super Bowl.

The Oregon Lottery debuted online sports betting in October 2019 and has since seen steady growth in participation during major sporting events, with the Super Bowl remaining its most lucrative single-day event each year.
