PHOENIX, Ore. (Jan. 25, 2026) — The Jackson County Animal Shelter and Medford Alert News are featuring Faith, a 4-month-old German Shepherd and Husky mix, as this week’s adoptable pet, highlighting her energetic personality and promise as a loyal family companion.
Faith weighs about 35 pounds and is expected to grow to between 60 and 70 pounds when fully grown. Shelter staff describe her as friendly, people-oriented and full of puppy energy, with a playful and bouncy demeanor typical of her age. Despite being young, she already walks fairly well on a leash and is beginning to learn basic commands such as “sit” and “lie down.”
Shelter staff and volunteers say Faith’s future adopter should be prepared to continue her training and provide the time and patience required for raising a puppy — an investment they say pays off with a lifelong bond.
Because of her age, Faith is not yet eligible to participate in large dog playgroups and would need a meet-and-greet with any potential canine housemates. Shelter officials note that not all adult dogs tolerate puppy behavior.
Faith has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Those interested in meeting Faith or learning more about adoptable animals are encouraged to contact the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654 and press 5 for adoptions.
