
MEDFORD, Ore. (Jan. 24, 2026)— Medford Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 17-year-old boy who has been missing since late December.
Cyrus Carter was reported missing in December 2025. Police said he ran from staff during a supervised walk from Jackson County Juvenile Detention on the night of Dec. 29. Carter was walking with another juvenile and a staff member when they were told it was time to go inside. Both juveniles ran, and while the other was later located, Carter has not been found.
Carter was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black skinny jeans and blue-and-black Jordan shoes.
He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has no known scars or tattoos.
