O’Brien, Oregon- The Oregon State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Josephine County.
According to authorities, the incident took place shortly after 12:00 p.m. near the O’Brien Country Store in O’Brien. A deputy with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office encountered 33-year-old Clinten Anthony Robertson of Grants Pass, who was wanted on a felony warrant.
Robertson attempted to flee and used his vehicle to ram the deputy’s patrol vehicle. The confrontation resulted in the deputy discharging their firearm.
Robertson was struck by gunfire and transported to Three Rivers Hospital in Grants Pass for treatment. No injuries to bystanders or law enforcement personnel were reported.
The Josephine County Major Crime Team has been activated to assist in the investigation. The team includes representatives from the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office, the Grants Pass Police Department, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oregon State Police. The Oregon State Police is leading the investigation.
Authorities have stated that no further information will be released at this time.

All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
