In a continued initiative to promote financial literacy among students, Evergreen Federal Bank is reaching out to over 8,820 students across Curry, Jackson, and Josephine counties. Through a strategic partnership with Banzai, an award-winning online program, students in 40 schools now have free access to a comprehensive content library aimed at equipping them with essential real-world financial skills.
What makes this initiative even more accessible is that all these resources are readily available to students, whether they’re at home or in the classroom, using any internet-enabled device.
The Banzai program promises to help build a robust foundation of practical knowledge but also provides students with the tools necessary to secure a sound financial future. While students engage with the content, teachers can easily monitor and grade their progress remotely. Upon completing the Banzai program, students will gain essential skills such as tracking their expenses, understanding financial trade-offs, creating budgets, and much more.
The Banzai resources can be accessed at evergreenbank.teachbanzai.com.
Morgan Vandagriff, co-founder of Banzai, expressed gratitude to Evergreen Federal Bank, stating, “Thanks to Evergreen Federal Bank, area students will now have access to a wide array of courses and resources designed to help prepare them for our increasingly complex world. We wouldn’t be able to provide these tools without their support.”
Evergreen Federal Bank remarks they are committed to enhancing financial literacy in the community by investing time, money, industry expertise, and various bank resources. In addition to the Banzai library, the bank also offers virtual or in-classroom presentations from local experts on timely financial topics.
Banzai’s resources are utilized by over 100,000 teachers across the United States. Importantly, these courses align with Oregon’s state curriculum requirements, making the program an engaging and enjoyable way for students to acquire vital financial literacy skills.
Notably, Jackson County schools, including Rogue River Elementary School and Rogue River High School, are among the beneficiaries of this valuable initiative. A number of Josephine County schools will also use this program. They include: Allen Dale Elementary School, Fleming Middle School, Fruitdale Elementary School, Grants Pass High School, Grants Pass Seventh-Day Adventist School, North and South Middle Schools.
