ODF is responding alongside numerous Josephine county fire agencies to a fire on the 4200-block of Lakeshore Drive, southeast of Selma.
It’s currently estimated to be 4-6 acres in size and firefighters are engaged in an aggressive initial attack.
Officials say the fire is reportedly spreading at a slow rate, but more resources have been ordered and ODF has ordered a Type 2 helicopter.
8:30P Update: Illinois Valley Fire District, Grants Pass Fire, Rural Metro Fire – Josephine County , ODF Southwest Oregon District and Oregon Department of Forestry, all responded this three-alarm grass fire off of Lakeshore Drive.
Fire size was extinguished at 7 acres. No structures were damaged,and there were no injuries. The fire has been contained and is under investigation.
