MEDFORD, Ore. (Jun. 7, 2026) — Student athletes and community members in need of a sports physical will have an opportunity to receive one free of charge next week at South Medford High School.
Providence Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation caregivers will provide free sports physicals from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the school. The event is open to student athletes preparing for the upcoming school year as well as anyone in the community who requires a sports physical.
During the examinations, Providence caregivers will screen for potential health concerns, including cardiac conditions and musculoskeletal issues. Blood pressure and vision checks will also be conducted as part of the evaluation.
Students attending the event should arrive dressed in shorts and a T-shirt and must bring their school’s required sports physical examination or clearance form. For athletes participating in Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) programs, physical examination forms must include a parent or guardian’s signature. The forms are available in both English and Spanish.
Organizers said the event will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointments are required.
Sports physicals are often required for participation in school athletics and can help identify medical conditions that may affect a student’s ability to safely compete in sports.
