GRANTS PASS, Ore. (May. 15, 2026) — The Oregon State Police issued a Missing and Endangered Person Advisory on Friday for a 74-year-old Grants Pass man with Alzheimer’s disease who disappeared while driving home earlier in the day.

Authorities said Randall Thompson was last seen at about 1:23 p.m. Thursday on Highway 199 near Hubbard Lane in Grants Pass. Investigators said Thompson was following his wife home in a separate vehicle when he failed to turn onto their street and continued driving.

Thompson was driving a dark gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Oregon license plate 311KBC.

Police described Thompson as a white male who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds. He has gray hair and was last seen wearing a green plaid jacket, blue shirt and black pants.

Officials said Thompson is known to have ties to Northern California, and a statewide Missing Endangered Person Advisory has been issued.

Anyone who sees Thompson or the vehicle is asked to contact the Oregon State Police at 800-442-2068 or dial *OSP (*677) from a mobile phone. Authorities asked callers to reference case number SP26-157009.

UPDATE: Randall Thompson has been located. He is safe and in good health.
