Police Serve Search Warrant in Ashland Child Exploitation Investigation

ASHLAND, Ore. (Apr. 16, 2026) — Investigators with a regional child exploitation task force served a search warrant Wednesday at a residence in south Ashland after authorities traced the upload of suspected child sexual abuse material to the address, officials said.

The Oregon Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, working alongside the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, executed the warrant April 15 on Neil Creek Road. The investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led authorities to issue subpoenas and ultimately obtain the warrant.

Officers interviewed potential witnesses and individuals connected to the case, and seized multiple digital devices during the search. The devices will be analyzed by Oregon Department of Justice forensic specialists for possible evidence of child exploitation.

The Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, a multi-agency task force launched in June 2020, includes investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, the Oregon Department of Justice’s ICAC Task Force, and Homeland Security Investigations. Prosecutors from local, state and federal agencies in Jackson County also support the effort.

Additional assistance during the search was provided by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department and other state and federal partners.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue reviewing evidence and conducting interviews. No arrests have been announced, and officials said no further details would be released at this time.
