MEDFORD, Ore. (Mar. 14, 2026) — Organizers of the upcoming “No Kings III” demonstration in Medford have announced the planned route for the rally, which is expected to draw thousands of participants along Biddle Road later this month.

The rally, organized by the democratic advocacy group ORD2 Indivisible, is scheduled for March 28 from noon to 2 p.m. Organizers say participants will line Biddle Road from Hawthorne Park to the Food 4 Less shopping center, creating a continuous demonstration corridor along one of Medford’s busiest commercial routes.

Event organizers estimate as many as 10,000 people could attend, potentially making it one of the largest political demonstrations in the Rogue Valley in recent years.

The event will mark the third “No Kings” rally organized locally by the group. Previous demonstrations in the series were held along East McAndrews Road in Medford and drew thousands of participants advocating for democratic norms, voting rights and government accountability.

Anti-war messaging highlighted

Along with domestic political themes, organizers have recently urged supporters to speak out about escalating tensions involving Iran. In communications to supporters, the group said many members are frustrated by the prospect of another overseas conflict and encouraged constituents to contact federal lawmakers about U.S. military action abroad.

“We know some of you want to rush to the curbs with signs, and that day will come,” organizers wrote in a message to supporters. “We hope Indivisible National will choose a day and message soon, so that we are part of something much bigger. If not, we will choose a day and meet you there.”

The group encouraged residents to contact Oregon’s U.S. senators, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, as well as the region’s representative in Congress, Cliff Bentz, to express opposition to military strikes involving Iran and to urge lawmakers to assert congressional authority over war powers.

Organizers interpret the War Powers Act of 1973, which states that the president can deploy U.S. armed forces into hostilities with congressional authorization or in response to a national emergency created by an attack on the United States, its territories or its armed forces.

Advocates associated with the group say public pressure on lawmakers is intended to ensure elected officials hear from constituents who oppose further military escalation. Supporters were encouraged to keep their messages brief when contacting congressional offices and to continue outreach throughout the week.

Planning and safety efforts

With the possibility of thousands attending the March rally, organizers are also planning volunteer and safety preparations ahead of the event.

A de-escalation training session is scheduled to take place at Medford Library to help volunteers learn techniques to calm tense situations and keep the demonstration peaceful. Organizers say the training is meant to prepare participants to respond to potential conflicts that sometimes arise during large public gatherings.

Participants are encouraged to bring signs, musical instruments and friends, and to consider carpooling due to limited parking in the area.

Local officials have not publicly announced specific traffic control plans for Biddle Road during the rally, though large crowds could affect traffic along the corridor during the event window.

Organizers say additional details about the rally will be released as the date approaches.
