

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (Feb. 15, 2026) — A truck driver was arrested after crashing into a house in the early hours of Sunday morning, authorities said, though the family inside was unharmed.
The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. in the 13000 block of SW Larkwood Place. Witnesses told police the driver was speeding and driving recklessly prior to the collision. Officers said the truck, traveling westbound on SW Scholls Ferry Road, struck a dirt mound, launching roughly 100 feet into the air and over a three-foot brick wall before colliding with the side of the home.
“When officers arrived, the driver was initially unconscious, and both he and a passenger were trapped inside the truck,” police said. Firefighters with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue extricated the pair, and both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The family inside the home was not injured, though authorities noted significant damage to the structure.
The driver, was charged with reckless driving and recklessly endangering.
“We’re thankful no one was seriously hurt. We appreciate the help from neighboring agencies in responding to this crash, including TVF&R, Beaverton Police, King City Police, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office,” police said.
