
WHITE CITY, Ore. (Feb. 10, 2026) — A Jackson County grand jury has indicted a 19-year-old White City man on multiple sex crime charges stemming from an investigation into the alleged abuse of a minor, authorities said.
Eli Mulugeta Young, 19, was indicted on charges of unlawful sexual penetration in the second degree and sexual abuse in the third degree. He is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched Friday, Feb. 6, to the 7000 block of Houston Loop in White City after receiving a report that a 19-year-old man had sexually abused a girl under the age of 14, authorities said. Following the investigation, deputies arrested Young at the scene.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit are continuing to investigate the case and believe there may be additional victims. Officials are urging anyone with information about Young or related incidents to contact SVU Detective Jill Wenzel at (541) 770-8928.
Authorities said further details about the case will be released by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office as the prosecution moves forward. No additional information about the victim or circumstances of the alleged abuse was released in order to protect the victim’s identity.
All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
