MEDFORD, Ore. (Jan. 29, 2026) — Medford School District recorded its highest graduation rate in a decade during the 2024–25 school year, with 88.1% of students in the Class of 2025 earning a diploma within four years.
The rate rose nearly three percentage points from 85.3% in 2024 and continued to exceed the Oregon statewide average of 83%, according to district data. Medford’s five-year cohort completer rate also improved, climbing from 88.7% to 90.1%, reflecting continued progress for students earning diplomas and other approved completion credentials.
“This achievement represents the dedication of our students and the collective effort of our staff, families, and community,” Interim Superintendent Jeanne Grazioli said. “We are committed to ensuring every student is supported, challenged, and prepared for their next step after high school.”
Over the past decade, the district’s graduation rate has increased by more than 13 percentage points, rising from 75% in 2015 to 88.1% this year.
District officials reported strong results across Medford’s high schools. South Medford High School posted a four-year graduation rate of 90.4%, North Medford High School reached 86.5%, and Innovation Academy recorded 71.6%.
Graduation rates also continued to improve among several student groups. Students experiencing homelessness graduated at a rate of 70.5%, up from 67.8% the previous year. Former English learners reached 92.6%, students with disabilities increased to 78.2%, and career technical education concentrators exceeded 95%. District leaders said continued efforts remain focused on current English learners, migrant students, and students experiencing poverty.
With an 88.1% graduation rate, Medford ranks third among Oregon’s 10 largest school districts and holds the highest graduation rate in the Rogue Valley.
District leaders credited the gains to expanded systems of student support, including improved access to attendance and academic data, early interventions and case management, credit recovery and flexible learning options, wraparound services, and increased postsecondary and career-connected opportunities.
