KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (Nov. 29, 2025) — Two people were killed Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 140E near milepost 16, according to the Oregon State Police.
Troopers responded around 1 p.m. on Nov. 26 after reports of a collision involving a Honda Civic and a Cadillac CTS.
According to OSP’s preliminary investigation, a westbound Honda Civic driven by Tahj Mahalia Miller, 24, of Klamath Falls, moved into the eastbound lane to pass slower westbound traffic. At the same time, a westbound Cadillac CTS driven by Kaden Shakur Moses, 24, also attempted to enter the eastbound lane to pass vehicles. The Cadillac’s rear quarter panel clipped the front of the Honda, causing the Cadillac to lose control.
The Cadillac rolled down the eastbound shoulder and came to rest on its roof in a nearby field. Moses, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Bonner Deb Conney, 52, of Klamath Falls, was also declared deceased.
Miller and two juvenile passengers, ages 3 and 5, were reportedly uninjured.
Highway 140E was partially closed for roughly six hours during the investigation.
OSP was assisted by the Bonanza Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
