3:30P UPDATE: OR-66, MP 5 — 44: Greensprings Hwy. (OR-66) is closed 4 miles east of Ashland to MP 66 in Klamath County due to extreme winter weather conditions. Do not detour on secondary roads; they are not maintained for winter travel.

3P UPDATE: Caltrans has closed I-5 40 miles south of the Oregon border. At Caltrans request, southbound I-5 traffic will be held in Oregon at MP 11 (South Ashland) and released every 20 minutes. Expect extended delays and chain restrictions to continue. Travel is not advised at this time; postpone your trip, if possible. Do not detour on secondary roads; they are not maintained for winter travel.


SW Oregon– Extreme winter weather conditions have led to significant delays and intermittent closures on Interstate 5 over the Siskiyou Pass, affecting both northbound and southbound traffic. Chains are mandatory for all vehicles except four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles, unless towing.
