Vehicle Fire Spreads to NE Medford House Before Being Extinguished

The Medford Fire Department (MFD), in collaboration with Jackson County Fire District 3 (JCFD3), responded to a reported structure fire at the intersection of Cheltenham Way and Edgewood Dr. The emergency call, issued by ECSO, alerted the teams to a fully involved vehicle fire that had spread to a nearby residence.

Upon arrival, firefighting crews were met with a challenging situation as the flames from the vehicle had extended into the residence. The firefighters launched an aggressive fire attack. Their prompt response and concerted efforts enabled them to bring the situation under control within approximately 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported, showcasing the effectiveness of the fire departments’ response. The collaborative efforts of both the Medford Fire Department and JCFD3 played a crucial role in preventing potential harm to residents and mitigating further damage to the property.

MFD Fire investigators have started the work to determine the official cause of the fire.

The incident serves as a reminder of the dedicated service and expertise of our local firefighting teams. No additional information was released by officials at this time.
