Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) announced the launch of The Sheriff’s App, a powerful tool designed to keep our community informed and safe. The app is now available for download by scanning the QR code or searching for “JC Sheriff OR” in your device’s App store.
One of the key features of The Sheriff’s App is its ability to deliver updates and alerts directly to your phone. By enabling notifications, you will receive important information on events that impact our community in real-time. Whether it’s emergency notifications, road closures, high-risk incidents, wanted suspects, or major crimes, you’ll be instantly informed.
Sheriff Nate Sickler highlighted the app’s convenience, stating, “The speed at which information can be delivered is a game-changer. It allows the public to access crucial updates and direct communication with our office effortlessly.”
The app provides a range of essential features to ensure effective communication with JCSO. You can easily submit crime tips through the “Submit a Tip” button, contact emergency and non-emergency dispatch, file reports online, and access the JCSO directory and station locations via the “Contact Us” section.
Furthermore, The Sheriff’s App offers valuable resources like the “Jail” section, which provides a current list of individuals in custody and important Jail information. The “Permits / CHL” link enables access to Concealed Handgun License information and scheduling.
For those invested in community safety, the “Most Wanted” section displays a current list of Jackson County’s most wanted, complete with mugshots. Additionally, the app offers a unique tool called “Share My Trip,” designed to aid Search and Rescue in locating missing people faster.
The app also addresses public concerns surrounding the black-market marijuana problem in Jackson County. The “Marijuana Info” section offers insight into the issue and provides links to submit marijuana-related tips, Code Enforcement, and Watermasters.
