In preparation of fire season, Jackson County and all metro cities will conduct a Citizen Alert notification test on Tuesday, May 23 starting at 12 p.m.
The test will only be sent to individuals who have registered in the system.

In addition to the Citizen Alert system, which is address-based, Jackson County will also test the “JACKSONEVACS” alert keyword launched in 2021.
Once opted in, individuals will receive a text message for all levels 1 Be Ready, 2 Be Set, and 3 Go Now! Evacuation alerts issued in the County. Text JACKSONEVACS to 888777 to opt-in.
