On July 22, 2022, Grants Pass Police Detectives, assisted by GPPD Patrol officers, arrested 40-year-old William Manly. This was the result of a luring case being investigated by the detectives. Manly was arrested after he agreed to meet with a minor female for the purpose of a sexual encounter. Manly was arrested without incident and lodged in the Josephine County Jail.
The Grants Pass Police Department reminds parents to be aware of any unusual activity involving their children who are on social media. These types of cases are being referred to our agency frequently so we encourage parents to know who is interacting with their children. In this case, our detectives were able to intervene prior to any harm occurring in this case.
