MEDFORD, Ore. (Aug. 11, 2026) — A vehicle fire damaged multiple vehicles Tuesday morning in the 900 block of East Vilas Road, but firefighters quickly stopped the flames from spreading to additional vehicles and trailers at the location, authorities said.
Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon, or ECSO 911, dispatched Medford Fire Department Engine 14 at approximately 11:38 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a vehicle fire.
While responding to the scene, Engine 14 crews could see a smoke column and requested an additional engine to assist with the response.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire after arriving at the location. The blaze damaged multiple vehicles, but crews were able to prevent it from spreading to numerous other vehicles and trailers nearby.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Jackson County Fire District 3 assisted Medford Fire Department with the incident.
