MEDFORD, Ore. (Jul. 30, 2026) — Police are searching for a suspect following a bank robbery Thursday afternoon at the KeyBank branch near Barnett Road and Black Oak Drive in south Medford.
According to the Medford Police Department, officers responded to the robbery and launched an active search after the suspect fled the scene. Authorities said no injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a white man between 30 and 45 years old with a medium build and light-colored hair. He was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt, a surgical mask and a baseball cap featuring a Taco Bell logo. Police said the suspect fled the area on a scooter.
In a 3:30 p.m. update, the Medford Police Department released additional photos of the suspect in an effort to help identify him.
Investigators are asking anyone who sees someone matching the suspect’s description not to approach them and instead call the Medford Police Department at 541-776-7206.
Police said residents should expect a heavy law enforcement presence in the area and are asked to avoid the vicinity of Barnett Road and Black Oak Drive while officers continue their search.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
UPDATE: Bank Robbery Suspect Identified; Search Continues in South Medford Area
The suspect in Thursday afternoon’s robbery at the KeyBank on East Barnett Road has been identified, and police are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
Medford police say detectives have established probable cause to arrest 44-year-old Anthony James Blank in connection with the robbery, which occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday at the KeyBank on E. Barnett Road.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Blank’s residence, but he was not there when officers arrived.
Police believe Blank may be traveling on an electric scooter.
Anyone who sees Blank or has information about his whereabouts is urged not to approach him and instead contact Dispatch immediately at 541-770-4784.
The investigation remains ongoing.
