EUGENE, Ore. (Apr. 22, 2026) — A Eugene man has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking a minor after prosecutors said he exploited a 17-year-old victim in Oregon and Washington state.
Anthony D’Montrez Crawford, 30, entered the guilty plea Wednesday in federal court, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon.
Court documents say Crawford trafficked the minor from July to August 2024 in Eugene and Springfield. Authorities allege Crawford and his wife posted online advertisements offering the minor for commercial sex and arranged encounters through phone calls and text messages. Prosecutors said Crawford also transported the victim to Seattle on two occasions to engage in prostitution.
Crawford was formally charged by information on March 5, 2026, with sex trafficking of a child.
He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and up to life imprisonment, along with a possible $250,000 fine and five years of supervised release. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2026, before a U.S. district court judge.
U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford announced the case. The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Huynh is prosecuting it.
Officials said the case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Authorities urge anyone with information about human trafficking or who may be a victim to contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 1-888-373-7888 or by texting 233733. The hotline operates 24 hours a day.
