
MEDFORD, Ore. (Jan. 26, 2026) — A wind advisory is in effect Tuesday for parts of Jackson County, with forecasters warning of strong southeast winds that could make travel difficult and lead to scattered power outages.
The National Weather Service office in Medford said winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The advisory covers the southern portion of the Rogue Valley, including portions of Interstate 5 from Phoenix southward and the communities of Phoenix, Talent and Ashland.
Officials said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and may result in a few power outages. Drivers, especially those operating high-profile vehicles, are urged to use extra caution.
The advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in Medford.
