EAGLE POINT, Ore. (Jan. 6, 2026) — Police in Eagle Point are investigating an animal hoarding and neglect case after authorities removed more than 30 dogs from a residence Tuesday in the 400 block of Crystal Drive.
Eagle Point Police said officers, working with Jackson County Animal Control and staff from Rogue Valley Emergency Veterinary Hospital, are processing and documenting evidence related to the dogs, which were taken from the home as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities remain on scene as the case is still active. No additional details about potential charges or the condition of the animals were immediately released.
Crystal Drive is currently detoured at St. Claire and Montclair due to emergency vehicles in the roadway. Police are asking the public to avoid the area until it is cleared, though residents who live nearby are being allowed access to their homes.
Officials said more information will be released as it becomes available.
