Kira, a 2-year-old spayed female, has quickly become a favorite among shelter staff for her calm nature and friendly demeanor. Described as “quiet” and “mellow,” she seeks out human attention and is rarely seen without a wagging tail.
Shelter staff say Kira walks well on a leash, takes treats gently and has demonstrated basic training, including knowing how to sit. She has also participated in dog-to-dog playgroups, where she has gotten along with both male and female dogs. As with all adoptions, staff recommend a meet-and-greet with any dogs already living in the home.
German Shepherds are known for their loyalty and devotion, and the shelter believes Kira will be no exception. They describe her as a “dainty lady” who would thrive in a mellow household and with moderate daily exercise.
Kira’s love for treats and affection makes her an easy companion to bond with, and the shelter continues to learn more about her personality as she settles in.
