Three Injured After Explosion at Oregon Motel

WOODBURN, Ore. (Nov 9, 2025) — Three people were injured late Saturday night after an explosion ripped through a room at the Woodburn Inn, prompting a large emergency response and temporary evacuation of the motel, authorities said.

Woodburn Police said officers were called to the motel at 1025 N. Pacific Highway around 10:42 p.m. Saturday following reports of an explosion. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man outside a ground-level room suffering from bleeding injuries caused by flying glass and debris.

After moving him to safety, officers located a 33-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man still inside the damaged room, both suffering from burn injuries. Police said both were pulled from the room and the entire motel was evacuated as a precaution.

All three victims were taken to area hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The Oregon State Police bomb squad was called to the scene to search for any explosive devices, but none were found. Investigators said the cause of the explosion remains undetermined and is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Woodburn Police Department at 503-982-2345 and reference case number 25-7866.
