WHITE CITY, Ore. (AP) — A log truck trailer overturned Monday morning in White City, spilling its load of timber onto the roadway, crushing three vehicles and leaving two drivers injured, authorities said.
The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. on Avenue G, just west of the intersection with Highway 62, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Minutes earlier, at 10:04 a.m., a motorist called 911 to report a log truck driving erratically on Highway 62 with its trailer wobbling. Soon after, multiple callers reported the trailer had flipped and spilled heavy logs across the road.
A sheriff’s deputy arrived to find a Ford F-150 pickup, a Hyundai Elantra, and a Nissan cargo van crushed by the fallen timber. The Ford driver sustained life-threatening injuries, while the Hyundai driver was also injured, deputies said. Both were taken to Medford hospitals. The Nissan driver was not transported for medical care.

The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, which includes investigators from several local law enforcement agencies, is leading the investigation with assistance from the Oregon State Police.
The log truck driver and the trucking company are cooperating with investigators, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and reference case #25-4926.
