Grants Pass Man Indicted in Series of Commercial Burglaries, Remains at Large

Grants Pass, Oregon- A Josephine County grand jury has indicted a Grants Pass man in connection with a string of commercial burglaries that occurred over several months, police said.

Between September 2024 and January 2025, the Grants Pass Police Department investigated multiple break-ins targeting local businesses, where items valued between $100 and $1,000 were stolen and property damage in some cases exceeded $1,000.

The businesses burglarized included Bi-Mart, Cash Connection, Highland Market, Rogue Fly Shop, Batteries Plus Bulb, M Street Market, Lucky Duck on Redwood Avenue, Farmers Building Supply, Don’s Bike Center and Fields Home Improvement in Josephine County. Police said both Bi-Mart and Cash Connection were hit twice during the series.

After a months-long investigation, police identified 33-year-old Anthony Boyd Mooney of Grants Pass as the suspect. Last week, a grand jury indicted Mooney on 12 counts of second-degree burglary, five counts of first-degree theft, 11 counts of first-degree criminal mischief and seven counts of second-degree theft.

Mooney’s whereabouts are currently unknown, and he has several active warrants for his arrest, authorities said. Police are asking anyone with information about his location to contact their local law enforcement agency.

All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
