


Phoenix, Oregon– Authorities have issued an advisory to residents and travelers near W 1st Street and C Street due to significant first responder activity involving a structurally compromised building. Emergency teams are working to prevent further damage and ensure public safety as the building shows signs of potential collapse.
Phoenix Police confirmed that road closures are in place around the affected area, and residents are urged to avoid the location to facilitate emergency operations. “First responders are working quickly to prevent any further damage to property or life,” stated an official police notice.
Officials also warned that power outages may occur in the area. These outages could be implemented as a precautionary safety measure or as a result of the building collapse. Residents are advised to prepare by securing essential supplies in the event of a prolonged outage.
“If you have an emergency, please call 911,” Phoenix Police emphasized. For non-emergent issues, residents are directed to contact 541-776-7206.

2/7/25 UPDATE: The Phoenix Police Department released the following update on the incident.
The gas has been turned off and the power company has been notified and is working to turn the power off at the time of this update.
It has been confirmed that the roof of the business has caved in and the building has extensive damage. The roads have been reopened due to the mitigated structural issues, and the owner is on scene trying to assess damage.
Although the roads have been reopened, residents are advised to use caution while driving past the structure at this time. Officers will be monitoring throughout the night to ensure the safety of everyone.
