The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported responding to assist stranded drivers in these areas as the region grapples with blizzard conditions.

The closures have forced some drivers to seek alternate routes, often guided by GPS devices that direct them to dangerous and impassable roads. Officials emphasized that routes such as Dead Indian Memorial Road and Colestin Road are restricted to local traffic only during these conditions. Residents using these roads are urged to exercise extreme caution, ensure their vehicles are equipped with chains, and prepare for severe winter weather.
