OSP Searching Statewide for Child Sex Crimes Suspect

Wasco County, Oregon- Law enforcement agencies in Oregon and Alabama are actively searching for Adam Renk, 39, who is wanted for sex crimes against child victims in both states. The Oregon State Police (OSP) and Mobile (Alabama) Police Department have requested the public’s assistance in locating Renk.

On June 21, 2024, OSP detectives initiated an investigation following a report of sexual abuse by a minor in Oregon. The minor identified Renk as the perpetrator, and he has since been indicted on multiple charges involving a child victim under the age of 12. The charges include Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.

During their investigation, OSP detectives uncovered that Renk is also facing charges in Mobile, Alabama, in a separate case involving an 11-year-old child. The charges in Alabama include Child Sexual Abuse and Torture. Authorities have confirmed that the victims in the two states are not related. Renk had posted bond in Alabama and was released from pre-trial custody.

Renk was last seen leaving Alabama on August 7, 2024, and is believed to have connections to Oregon, specifically in Wasco County. He is reportedly traveling in a converted Ford ambulance, painted two-toned white over gray. Renk is believed to be traveling in a converted Ford Ambulance, and has an Oregon license plate of 353JWK. Renk is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 175 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

Law enforcement urges anyone with information about Renk’s whereabouts or potential additional victims to contact the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office at 541-506-2580 or OSP Detective Cassie Bantz via OSP dispatch at 800-442-0776 or by dialing OSP (677) from a mobile phone.

The U.S. Marshals Service is assisting in the search for Renk as authorities work to locate him.
