One Person Critically Injured in Oregon Apartment Fire

Beaverton, Oregon- Late in the evening on February 9th, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) firefighters rushed to the scene of a reported apartment fire in the 14000 block of Southwest Teal Boulevard in Beaverton. Multiple 911 callers alerted authorities to gray smoke billowing from an adjacent apartment, with reports indicating the smoke emanated from the front door.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke rising from the roofline. Swiftly, they began extinguishing the flames while conducting a search of the premises for any occupants.

Tragically, one person was discovered inside the home in critical condition. Fire crews promptly evacuated the victim and transferred them to the medical team stationed outside. Fortunately, no other individuals or pets were found within the residence.

TVF&R teams received assistance from American Medical Response in managing the emergency. By shortly after midnight, firefighters had successfully brought the blaze under control, containing it to the unit of origin.

In the aftermath, TVF&R fire investigators mobilized to the site, initiating efforts to ascertain the cause of the fire. The overall response also involved support from Beaverton Police, American Medical Response, Portland General Electric, and NW Natural Gas.
