Medford Police Capture Homicide Suspect After Intensive Search

Medford, Oregon- After an exhaustive three-day manhunt, the Medford Police Department has successfully apprehended homicide suspect Jesus Armando Pena Jr. The operation involved efforts from detectives, officers, and the Medford Police Department SWAT team.

Following up on leads, law enforcement attempted to make contact with Pena Jr. at a residence in the 800-block of Pennsylvania Avenue this morning at approximately 7:00 AM. Although the suspect was not found at the location, investigators continued to gather information that eventually led them to 379 Savage Creek Road, situated between Rogue River and Grants Pass.

At 1:44 PM on January 30, the Medford Police Department SWAT team successfully took Pena Jr. into custody. The suspect surrendered peacefully, according to officials.

Jesus Armando Pena Jr. will undergo thorough questioning and subsequently be lodged at the Jackson County Jail, facing charges of murder and other related offenses.


All suspects are believed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
