“Creekside Village” to Add 84-Apartments in NE Medford Area

The first phase of construction for “Creekside Village” has commenced on Skypark Drive in northeast Medford. This in-fill development, which received approval from City of Medford officials back in 2020, hopes to transform the area near Lone Pine Creek into a vibrant residential community.

Covering a sprawling 4.76-acre plot, “Creekside Village” is envisioned to feature 14 modern, three-story, six-plex residential buildings, offering a total of 84 market-rate apartments. With its strategic location near Lone Pine Creek, the complex is designed to take full advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds it.

To ensure a harmonious integration with the landscape, the development team has been working closely with the Medford Parks Department. In particular, discussions have centered around the future installation of a multi-use path, as outlined in the City’s Leisure Services Plan. While the initial plan did not include the path, subsequent coordination with the Parks Department has resulted in a commitment from the applicant to research installing a soft-surface trail within the riparian corridor.

As part of the approval process, the applicant submitted revised plans that clearly identify the pathway and its dimensions throughout the property. In addition, the developers collaborated with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) to establish a 25-foot riparian corridor along the length of Lone Pine Creek, ensuring environmental preservation and conservation.

As Southern Oregon continues to suffer from an extreme housing shortage, this mid-size development will further assist with the City’s goal of creating more housing while also preserving a natural waterway such as Lone Pine Creek. There is no current information regarding potential rental prices at this time. This is not a low-income development, and will provide market-rate housing.

Medford Alert will keep a close eye on the development’s progress and provide updates as construction moves forward.
