Yesterday night, at approximately 8:53p, Illinois Valley Fire Department (IVFD) and AMR-Josephine County units responded to a structure fire callout.
The report was of a two-story wood structure on Redwood Hwy and E. O’Brien Rd that had heavy smoke coming from the roof.
Arriving units found flames showing from the second story of what appeared to be an abandoned structure.
Several fire units working the blaze for approx 2 hours before clearing. There were no reported injuries.
Rural Metro Fire – Josephine County, also initially responded to the fire and was diverted to a medical call in the valley.
Officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
