Ashland Opening Severe Weather Shelter

The Ashland City manager has declared a severe weather emergency and has authorized the opening of an emergency shelter beginning Thursday evening, Jan. 19th, to Monday morning, Jan. 23rd

The severe weather shelter will be open from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM at the Ashland Public Library, located at 410 Siskiyou Blvd, downstairs in the Gresham room.

Dinner will not be provided on Thursday and Friday nights, a community meal will be available at Pioneer Hall at 4:00 PM on both nights.

The doors will close for the night at 9:00 PM with lights out at 10:00 PM. These are no-frills shelters, which means that individuals should plan on providing their own bedding.

Only service animals are allowed in the Public Library.
