High Cascades Winter Weather Advisory Begins Sunday Night

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT SUNDAY NIGHT TO NOON MONDAY.

High Cascades above 5000 feet including Highway 62 near Crater Lake, Highways 138 and 230 near Diamond Lake, Highway 58 near Willamette Pass.

Wet snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph in exposed areas.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Snow will likely continue into Monday afternoon,
but road temperatures will warm and impacts to roadways should lessen.

Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.

Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties.
