This is a developing story. We have not received much information from officials at this time. We expect an update from OSP soon.
Currently the left lane of the southbound 5 just north of the city of Rogue River is closed. There are several police units on scene at this hour (9p). There are also several damaged vehicles and an OSP vehicle that authorities were examining.
The incident is confirmed to be an officer involved shooting. OSP is the lead agency at this time. I5 was completely shut down in both directions, for several hours as the incident and initial investigation took place.
