Southern Oregon Neurological & Spine Associates have submitted plans for a new 22,000 sqft facility near the intersection of N. Phoenix and Hillcrest.
With the subject request, the medical group is proposing a commercial development on the easterly portion of the lot. The proposal is for the construction of a two-story, 22,000 square foot medical office building. As stated in the applicant’s findings, a patio and second floor balconies for employees will be located on the south side of the building. The first floor of the building will include a lobby, a magnetic resonance imaging suite, and future tenant improvement spaces. The second floor will be an office-based physician practice with waiting area, exam rooms, offices, conference room and employee break area.
The proposed building uses compatible architectural features such as roof overhangs, punched openings, and similar materials in a more modern vernacular. The brick base relates to the brick base found on the adjacent buildings in Hillcrest Office Park. Vertical wood siding is congruent with the scale, weight, and texture of various residential grade sidings found in the area. Smooth fiber cement panels relate to the stucco on adjacent buildings.
Once approved, the building is expected to begin vertical construction in Spring of 2022.
