MEDFORD, Ore. (Sep. 23, 2026) — Oregon District 2 Indivisible is planning a regional “No Kings 4” rally in central Medford on Oct. 17, with organizers saying the event will focus on voter participation ahead of the November general election.
The rally is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, along Biddle Road near Hawthorne Park, Jackson Street and Biddle Road.
The event is part of a nationwide “No Kings: Vote Early” day of action planned for Oct. 17. Organizers nationally describe the events as an effort to encourage eligible voters to participate in the 2026 election.
ORD2 Indivisible said it is encouraging participants to make signs urging people to vote, vote early and return ballots through official ballot drop boxes when possible.
The group said its rally is being organized amid concerns about President Donald Trump and the upcoming midterm elections. Those statements reflect the organization’s political views and advocacy objectives.
Oregon’s general election is scheduled for Nov. 3. The election will include races for federal, state and local offices.
About ORD2 Indivisible
Oregon District 2 Indivisible, commonly known as ORD2 Indivisible, is a progressive democratic political advocacy organization formed in early 2017. The group was co-founded by Ashland residents Jessica Sage and Bret Levick following the 2016 presidential election and the creation of the national Indivisible movement.
The organization says it represents about 2,000 activists across Oregon’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Jackson County and much of Central and Eastern Oregon. Its activities include rallies, contacting elected officials, voter outreach, public events and volunteer-led advocacy campaigns.
ORD2 Indivisible openly describes its mission as opposing the Trump administration and its policies. The organization says participation is open to people who share that objective, while also emphasizing respectful and nonviolent conduct at its events.
The group is not a formal membership organization, according to its website. Primary funding for the groups operations are through political donations and ActBlue.
Volunteers sought
ORD2 Indivisible is seeking volunteers to help with traffic and event safety, general event assistance and other logistical duties.
The organization is also recruiting volunteers for a de-escalation team intended to help respond to disruptions and keep the event peaceful. A training session for new volunteers and those seeking a refresher is being planned as well.
Organizers are also seeking to borrow a motorhome to use as an event headquarters near the rally site.
Previous Medford demonstrations
The Oct. 17 rally would follow several “No Kings” demonstrations in the Medford area since 2025.
On June 14, 2025, a “No Kings” demonstration was held along East McAndrews Road between Crater Lake Avenue and Biddle Road. Event listings described the gathering as part of a nationwide day of demonstrations.
Another demonstration was held in October 2025.
ORD2 Indivisible also promoted a March 2026 “No Kings” rally in the Medford area. The organization’s events team is responsible for organizing and supporting protests, rallies and other public events.
The Oct. 17 event will take place about two weeks before Election Day and is being promoted as a voter-participation event by the national “No Kings” organizers and participating local groups.
Additional details about the Medford rally are expected to be announced by ORD2 Indivisible in the coming weeks.
There has not been any organized counterprotests, announced by political opponents, as of the time this article was published.
