MEDFORD AREA, Ore. (Sep. 23, 2026) — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and multiple local, state and federal law enforcement agencies conducted a coordinated operation Wednesday targeting a drug trafficking organization in Jackson County, authorities said.
The operation, conducted Sept. 23, involved the simultaneous service of multiple search warrants at residences and businesses in Medford, Central Point, Eagle Point, Rogue River and Jacksonville.
Residents may have noticed an increased law enforcement presence in several areas, including police tactical vehicles and other specialized equipment.
A helicopter also was observed in the area of West Main Street and Hanley Road in connection with a federal search warrant, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said there is no known ongoing threat to the general public related to the operation. Residents are asked to avoid the properties involved while law enforcement personnel secure the scenes and conduct their investigations.
The operation remains active and ongoing.
Because of the nature of the investigation, authorities are not releasing specific details about the approximate locations, individuals involved or circumstances that led to the issuance of the search warrants at this time.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said additional information will be released when appropriate.
Authorities thanked the public for its patience and cooperation while law enforcement personnel complete the operations.
